Whitetail Deer Archery Hunts

What is the one thing that makes for a successful bow hunt?

Scouting

It is an undisputed fact that scouting is the single most important activity for a successful bow hunter.

Here at Moose Lake we scout Pre-season, In-season and post season. As a matter of fact, we spend more time in the woods than not.

We place deer stands in areas that show high activity and traffic from Whitetail Deer. Whether it is a ground blind or a tree stand, we will place you in an area that is frequented by deer. As I said before, we are constantly scouting so if the deer change patterns the week you are hunting, we will know and move you to a new location.

Do we guarantee a successful hunt?

No

We guarantee that you will be in an area that is populated with deer and is active. We believe strongly in fair chase hunting and we cannot guarantee that you will shoot or even see a wild animal because they are just that... Wild and unpredictable.

We will do our best to help you achieve a successful hunt, and work with you constantly as any good guide should.

Here at our location you will hunt in Southern Somerset county. One of the largest deer heards in the state can be found here and natural sources of beechnut, acorn, abandoned apple orchards, and cedar thickets comprise your hunting area.

The deer archery season puts very little stress on the deer population here. Very little hunting pressure is present during the October bow hunt. Spending the entire day in the woods on stand without encountering another human is very likely.
